Before working with Mosaic Wellness, Daniel worked at Serenity House as a substance abuse counselor. While there, he earned his Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development and became an LPC-Intern. He moved to Abilene Behavioral Health, a local psychiatric hospital, to gain new knowledge and experience and became a Licensed Professional Counselor, working as both an adult and adolescent Therapist and serving as the Director of the Partial Hospitalization Program. He eventually moved into private practice and became a full-time Therapist for Texas Family Institute from June 2016 to July 2019. He is excited to move to Mosaic Wellness.Daniel counsels individuals, couples, families, and groups, from the ages of 10 and up. He specializes in substance abuse disorders, dual diagnosis, depression, anxiety, anger, teen/adolescent issues, and adult existential issues. He has been trained in a multitude of counseling theories and techniques, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Logo therapy. He utilizes multiple therapy modalities, but they are tailored specifically to the situation presented by the client and their unique needs, personality, and ability. He favors Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy and firmly believes that by changing your thoughts and beliefs, you can change your life.
